Successful start of the participation and dialogue procedure on Rue de l'Alzette in Esch.
The KickOff event on Wednesday, 9 May 2018 marked the successful start of the participation and dialogue process to revitalise the Rue de l'Alzette and the centre of Esch.
The mayor of the city of Esch, Georges Mischo, welcomed the large audience. Luc Wagner presented the participation process for revitalising the city centre. At the end, they both answered the questions and comments of the audience. The positive and constructive feedback underlined the importance of this procedure.
The considerations about Rue de l'Alzette and the city centre affect us all - as residents, building and business owners, employees or visitors: how we want to live, work, shop and spend our leisure time in Rue de l'Alzette and throughout the city centre.
Over the next few months - from May to mid-July - a common vision for a pedestrian zone worth living in and the city centre will therefore be developed. The population will be informed of the results from October 2018.
The possibilities for participation are manifold and range from a questionnaire campaign and workshops with stakeholders to district walks and a future conference. In addition, all interested persons with their own ideas and projects can contribute via so-called open formats.
