Elementary school in Schouweiler: "Solar is the trump card" these days

The municipality of Dippach has oriented the construction of the school towards a more sustainable and ecological energy supply.

Heating is provided by an integrated wood chip plant. The heat and hot water are distributed via a district heating network (to the relay house, the preschool, the St. Joseph house).

An innovative solution was chosen in the field of electricity. The municipality has make available the entire roof area of the school to a group of private investors, residents of the municipality, in order to install a photovoltaic system. All 605 panels were financed by this group. The plant supplies 181.5 kWp of electricity and the generated electricity is fed back into the national grid.

Definitely the right choice in these beautiful days.
