Installation structural wooden girders, Kulturhaus Schouweiler (LUX)

In the centre of Schouweiler, a new cultural centre is being built comprising a cultural house (Kulturhaus) and a covered village square.

The concrete construction has been completed and the next major phase began with the delivery of the structural wooden girders.

The building consists of a hybrid concrete and timber structure, in which load-bearing timber frame girders are used to complement the concrete structure. The wooden cassettes, prefabricated in the factory, have been attached to the entire building after the wooden frame girders were erected, enveloping the concrete structure.

In the heart of the building, the ballroom, the wooden frame girders will remain visible.
