Task: “Une Passerelle comme Échangeur de mobilité”- pedestrian and cycling bridge from railway station forecourt to the nearby recreational area of the Galgenberg in Esch-sur-Alzette. [Conseil Communal 23/12/05; Autorité Supérieure 30/08/06, no 226/05/CAC].
A pedestrian and cycling bridge is to establish a link from the inner city to the Galgenberg park in connection with platform 1. Particular challenges consist in overcoming the height differences involved, solving the task from a functional and urban planning perspective as well as executing the project during normal bus and railway operations.

In the context of a preliminary candidacy application, a suitable contractor is to be found for the execution of the project, who will submit an application with a planning team.
The functional tender calls for submissions on the planning and construction for the closed building shell of an architecturally sophisticated solution for a distinctive pedestrian and cycling steel bridge. Part of the offer also includes the pre-planning of the interior construction. The detailed design and realisation of the interior construction will be put to tender at a later date.
