Plan Directeur Kazenheck – Op de Wollèken, Niederanven (LUX)

Wednesday, the 16th of December 2020, the Plan Directeur Kazenheck – Op de Wollèken was presented to the municipal council of Niederanven, which WW+ elaborated in terms of project development and process support together with an interdisciplinary planning team for the planned expansion of the municipality.

The task for the interdisciplinary planning team was to implement a holistically thought-out sustainable planning of all areas - urban development, open space, water management, mobility and energy concept - in order to develop a new climate-friendly and resource-saving extension of the village.

The new extension comprises three neighbourhoods that together form the "Cité Jardin": Kazenheck, Op de Wollèken and Streuobstwiesen. The goal for the quarters: to combine the advantages of the countryside and those of the city.

The Plan Directeur is the result of an intensive planning period of 2.5 years. It also includes the results of an extensive public participation process lasting several months in 2018, which WW+ organised and carried out.

The next steps in the planning process are the submission of the PAP, an environmental impact assessment, the Remembrement Urbain and the infrastructural planning.
